Our growing real estate client is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their accounting function to assist with their daily corporate accounting function along with their periodic close. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Oversee the general corporate accounting functions, with emphasis on revenue and cash functions Hands-on involvement with the month-end close process, such as reviewing and analyzing journal entries/account balance & reconciliation, and providing financial/trend analysis Supervise and develop staff through training and guidance as needed Perform research of any technical guidance per GAAP when necessary including accounting for leases Participate in ad-hoc accounting and finance projects The qualified Accounting Manager will possess the following: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance At least 5 years of experience with prior experience managing a team of direct reports CPA licensure and/or Masters in Accounting is a plus A self-starter mindset and capable of independent problem solving and proactive execution of assigned tasks. Prior experience within public accounting (ideally within Big 4) and working within a publicly-held company Comfortable moving between various tasks and confident in their ability to attack new challenges head on. This opportunity operates in a HYBRID work arrangement – 2 days IN-OFFICE & 3 days REMOTE.
