The position requires travel between multiple school locations in the Los Angeles area, offering variety and engagement in diverse educational communities. Key Responsibilities: Interpret spoken communication into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa during classroom instruction, meetings, and school events Collaborate with teachers, students, and staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion Adapt interpretation techniques to suit different subject matters and communication styles Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate cultural sensitivity in all interactions Travel to various school locations as needed to provide on-site interpretation services Desired Qualifications: Proficiency in American Sign Language, with strong interpreting skills Experience working in educational environments preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to manage travel logistics and maintain punctuality Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere Location: Los Angeles, CA, with travel required within the local school district area This role presents a meaningful way to contribute to student success and educational equity by bridging communication gaps.
