Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling or modifying
electromechanical equipment such as switchboards and lighting
panels. You will utilize mechanical tools and blueprints to
complete your tasks. Responsibilities Operate tools and equipment
common to the mechanical trade, including hand and power tools.
Process work orders using computers and scanning devices in
adherence to the production schedule or expedited orders. Read and
interpret documents associated with mechanical assembly
assignments, such as blueprints and bills of materials. Gather
parts and accessories required in the assembly process. Assemble
fabricated parts to create unit assemblies or subassemblies. Fasten
component parts on cubicles, frames, subassemblies, or unit
assemblies. Connect cables and basic wires. Verify that units meet
specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements, and
adjust or replace parts if necessary. Mark unit assemblies with
identifying information and/or attach identifying tags. Report
non-conforming items, such as parts and schematics. Prepare
finished units for shipping, including packing, sealing, and
labeling. Clean and maintain equipment and work area to ensure
proper functioning and safe working conditions. Access and utilize
various documents associated with the manufacture of products in
assembly, such as Quality and Safety Documents and Operating
Instructions. Perform other work as directed by supervision.
Essential Skills High School Diploma Minimum of 6 months of
experience in assembly Training in assembly Knowledge of basic hand
tools, power tools, and reading and interpreting blueprints Basic
computer skills Use of basic mechanical/measuring tools Ability to
speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language Ability to
reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs., and push/pull/slide heavy material
Ability to make coordinated movements of hands and arms to grasp
and move objects Ability to stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb
Must be at least 18 years of age Must have a reliable form of

typically conducted indoors in a climate-controlled facility.
Candidates will train on the first shift (Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM
to 1:30 PM) with the opportunity to move to the second shift
(Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM) after 12.5 weeks. Overtime
is voluntary, with a sign-up sheet available one week in advance.
Some Saturdays may become mandatory if production needs are not met
through volunteers. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire
position based out of Pomona, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range
for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements
apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification
and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
